What is Birth Support?

A doula who is a familiar face - who you have chosen - who will be with youevery step of the way throughout your pregnancy and birth.

A doula who will provide you with physical, emotional and non biased evidence based educational support

A doula who will guide you through your pregnancy and labor

A doula that will support you as you make the transition to parenthood

A doula who will be available to answer any questions you may have via either email, telephone or at your home visits throughout your pregnancy and birth.

A doula who once your labour begins will offer support over the phone and as labour progresses in your own home (before you head into the hospital), or support you during yourhome birth

Your doula will never tell you what to do but will provide up to date, evidence based information on issues such as having a VBAC birth, how to know when to go to the hospital, should I choose a public or a private caregiver or should I think about having a sweep.
