I don't remember how I first stumbled upon the idea of becoming a Doula but I know I've want to be one for a while now and my journey into pediatric nursing only reassured me that I am on the right path and pushed me further on this journey into Women's health and maternity care support.
After getting the most goldenest of opportunities to attended several births during my Obstetrics placement last summer something stayed with me and so I decided to begin the Doula training.
I am currently attending DCU completing a BSc in Paediatric and General Nursing. I feel I am a person who adds positivity and calmness to any situaltion. I feel though I will be clincally trained as a pediatric nurse and in the near future a midwife too, my roots and passion are in nature and I have a positive holistic nurturing approach to life.
As a Doula I will work hard to help women and families enjoy this most magical of times. Whether I can be a supportive calming presence in your little ones arrival or a practical extra pair of hands so you can have time to breath in those early days when supports may not be close by.
● I am more than happy to be of practical help with cooking and cleaning
● I'm a certified Reiki practioner and will be trained in holistic massage
● I listen well and without judgement and am told I give a good hug
