Mary and Jen are both passionate about Doula work in Ireland. We envision DoulaCare Ireland as a professional support organisation for the doulas who join our agency. We bring years of experience in the birth/baby world to DoulaCare Ireland and look forward to helping you find your doula path.
Many doulas are passionate about working with women and their families but either don’t have time or actively dislike doing the business and marketing side (which is needed if you are hoping to have a successful doula business). At DoulaCare Ireland, Mary and Jen will do all this for you. We are committed to actively promoting our agency and doula services on various social media platforms throughout Ireland as well as via the media, our newsletter and face to face at fairs across the country. This will free you up to do the work you love to do.
DoulaCare Ireland offer their Doulas mentoring support every step of the way. It can be a challenge to work on your own as a doula and with us you will be provided with a community of doulas so that you need never feel intimidated, overwhelmed or thrown in at the deep end. We will be there to filter information, offer encouragement and answer any concerns that arise.
DoulaCare Ireland will host CPD days throughout the year. We will provide monthly meet ups via google hangouts as well as quarterly in person meet ups. These will allow you to connect with other doulas on a regular basis on top of thesupport provided by Mary and Jen. The meetings will also keep you up to date on what we are doing with DoulaCare Ireland. We will also make sure you have a back up doula to support you so that you can take breaks if needed without it being stressful. One of the downsides to working alone is finding it difficult to schedule time off for important events. With DoulaCare Ireland this is one thing you don’t have to worry about as we will endeavour to have back up structures in place for every client you attend. We will also provide a debriefing support service if you need it as a doula.
DoulaCare Ireland will not just be for doulas however. We are hoping to build up a network of professional services throughout Ireland that offer support to women either during their pregnancy, birth and the post partum period. So do contact us if you feel you would have something to offer and would be interested in being part of an agency model.
Jen and Mary are both widely known and respected in the Doula community in Ireland and have fantastic relationships with the wider birth community. They both are knowledgeable, passionate and caring and are so excited to share this experience with you. They will encourage you every step of the way, helping you and your business to grow. We want to see doulas succeed and be able to make a living for themselves and their families.
